Alan Buman Dinner

March 2008

Newcastle Uni Rugby League's 1st coach, Alan Buman was named in the Newcastle Rugby League's team of the century. To honour this recognition a dinner was held in March of 2008.

Some of Alan's accomplishments include:

• Represented Newcastle, NSW Country, NSW and Australia between 1963 - 1969
• Played in the Newcastle team which defeated St. George and Parramatta in the 1965 State Cup
• Represented Australia in the Test series in NZ: 1967
• Coached Newcastle Uni Rugby League 1970 - 1972
• Friend and mentor to ex nurlfc players: 1973 - present
• Cook at NURLFC SOB's annual golf day: 2006 - 2008
